Zack & Val – Married!

Travelling to PA to photograph this wedding was such an amazing experience. It was drizzling rain all day but the photos were still turning out amazing and I told Val, “you can’t even tell it’s raining!” to which she responded “well that sucks!” to which everyone laughed. I got to learn what a Pittsburgh cookie table was as I watched their friends and family unpack many different kinds of cookies: chocolate chip, peanut butter blossom, Italian wedding cookie, cookie bars, puff pastries and so many more.

Zack and Val met while attending a party that maid of honor Jaclyn hosted. From that night, Jaclyn knew that this was the perfect match as she witnessed the two proceed to have a wrestling match in her living room. I also think that she probably knew she would be attending their wedding a few years later. When Zack reached out for the first time since we were friends in training for the Air Force to ask for a couple’s session for him and Val, I couldn’t resist! And meeting Val I knew I would be photographing their wedding before long. I hope they are getting settled in their new home down in Mississippi reminiscent of our training days.
